Suitable and affordable housing
Housing continues to be a key focus of the community across Australia and New Zealand, including challenges associated with the cost of living, and housing affordability and availability.
We have continued to focus on helping improve the availability of suitable and affordable housing options for all Australians and New Zealanders by:
- Increasing overall housing supply, including both new social and affordable, into the market;
- Supporting new housing models from pilot to scale to delivery of new pipelines; and
- Contributing funding solutions for first home buyers, specialist disability accommodation and land lease communities.
$10 billion investment
Fund and facilitate $10 billion of investment by 2030 to deliver more affordable, accessible and sustainable homes to buy and rent (Australia/New Zealand). To achieve this target, we will work closely with our customers, supporting innovative models that can be replicated, scaled-up and delivered to market.
$1 billion invested in Queensland
A key delivery area in 2025 has been supporting housing outcomes across Queensland, Australia. Overall, ANZ has funded over $1 billion of housing outcomes in the state since 2023.
Funding to alleviate homelessness
ANZ continues to work in partnership with housing and support service providers across the not-for-profit sector to raise awareness, advocate for change and aid in the delivery of better outcomes for those at-risk of homelessness.
