Conduct

Our Code of Conduct (Code) sets the standards for behaviour expected at ANZ.

The Code is supported by a suite of policies that are regularly reviewed to ensure they reflect legislative changes and good practice.

ANZ also expects partners (including suppliers, service providers and other relevant third parties) to adopt and uphold similar standards of ethical behaviour as outlined in the Code and ANZ’s Supplier Code of Practice.

To manage ethical conduct and compliance with the Code, all employees and contractors must complete mandatory training courses within two months of joining ANZ and regularly thereafter.Every employee is responsible for assisting in the prevention, detection and reporting of conduct that is inconsistent with our values and Code and policies.

We publicly report on breaches of the Code in our annual ESG Reporting.

Our Whistleblower Policy and Program ensures that all employees, contractors and external auditors can raise concerns regarding actual or suspected contraventions of our ethical and legal standards freely and without fear of repercussions.

Where there is evidence that someone may have breached our Code and policies, we investigate and, where such allegations are substantiated, take appropriate disciplinary action. This includes formal warnings, dismissal and, where relevant for more senior employees, bonuses being reduced.

We publicly report on reports under our Whistleblower Policy in our annual ESG Reporting.
