Even more ways to safeguard your money every minute of every day.
Digital Padlock is an online banking feature designed to enhance the security of your accounts.

To restore access, you’ll need to contact us directly.
If you are an ANZ Plus customer, you can find out more about activating the Digital Padlock for your Plus accounts here.
Find out more about what is impacted when you use Digital Padlock below.
You might not need to use Digital Padlock. Check these options before activating:
If you don’t recognise a charge on your account, you can view the details and dispute a transaction if you think it’s unauthorised.
If you’ve misplaced your card, the quickest way to take steps to safeguard your money is to temporarily block it and if you can’t find it, then report your card as lost or stolen.*
In the case where you may have forgotten your app PIN, Internet Banking password, or simply want to change it, you can reset your login details easily in the ANZ App.

The Digital Padlock will generally impact things like:
You will not be able to log into the ANZ App, Internet Banking or Phone Banking.
You will not be able to use your physical card, or a digital wallet linked to your account(s) to make payments or purchases (including online purchases).
Additionally, if you have an arrangement with a Buy Now Pay Later provider for a purchase with an eligible card, then any repayments that are payable whilst the Digital Padlock is active will be declined.
If you have previously authorised a service provider to regularly debit your account using any eligible cards, they will be declined on the scheduled date of payment whilst the Digital Padlock is active.
You will not be able to withdraw cash using your eligible cards at ATMs or other cash-out terminals.
You will not be able to access your statements or notices online in the ANZ App or Internet Banking. If you need a statement when your Digital Padlock is activated, you can request this when you give us a call.
If you own a Rewards credit card, you will not be able to access ANZ Rewards for your eligible cards via the ANZ App or Internet Banking. This means you will not be able to check your ANZ Reward points or access your points statements if you have chosen to receive ‘electronic-only’ statements.
You will not be able to:
You will not be able to recover your CRN or reset your login credentials like ANZ App PIN or ANZ Internet Banking Password using the ‘Forgot Login Details’ or ‘Forgot PIN’ options.
You will not be able to log into ANZ Internet Banking for Business, or access any of your digital banking functions.
You will not be able to:
The Digital Padlock will generally not impact things like:
If you have more than one Customer Registration Number (CRN) or profile to access your ANZ accounts, only the CRN used to activate the Digital Padlock will be locked and any eligible cards linked to that specific profile will be blocked. Any other CRNs and cards associated with your other profiles will not be impacted, but your ANZ Internet Banking access may be limited.
Digital Padlock only locks your access to a joint account. It doesn’t affect any other joint account holders. They need to activate Digital Padlock separately in their ANZ App or Internet Banking if they wish to lock their digital access and block their eligible cards.
Activating Digital Padlock will only block your eligible cards. It will not impact any additional credit cardholders.
Activating the Digital Padlock in the ANZ App or Internet Banking will not affect your access to the ANZ Plus digital channels, or your ANZ Plus cards. To lock access to your ANZ Plus account and all linked cards, you must activate the Digital Padlock separately within ANZ Plus digital channels.
Additionally, if you have connected your ANZ accounts and cards to ANZ Plus using the My Accounts feature in ANZ Plus, and have activated Digital Padlock using your ANZ App or Internet Banking, you will still be able to:
Any one-off future-dated or recurring payments that you may have set up in the ANZ App or Internet Banking prior to activating the Digital Padlock will still be processed.
If you have authorised a service provider to debit your account on a regular basis by providing your account number and BSB, these debits will continue to be processed in accordance with that arrangement. If you wish to cancel your direct debit arrangement, please contact ANZ.
Existing PayTo payment arrangements that have been authorised in the ANZ App or Internet Banking will remain active. The participating merchant (payee) can still draw money from your authorised account on the scheduled payment date.
Recurring repayments that you may have set up using the Direct Loan Payments function in ANZ Internet Banking will continue to be processed. If you have chosen the Bank Managed Payment option, we will automatically increase the payment if the minimum required loan payment amount increases. ANZ will not decrease your payment if the minimum repayment required decreases.
While the Digital Padlock is active, you must continue to make repayments to your credit card account to avoid late payment fees and to retain the benefit of any interest free period. Repayments to your ANZ credit card set up before activating the Digital Padlock will continue to be processed.
You will generally be able to receive payments into your ANZ accounts. This includes
a. Digital Payments: Payments made into your ANZ account or to a PayID that is linked to your ANZ account.
b. Cash Deposits: Cash deposits made into your ANZ account or credit card using cardless deposit mode at ANZ ATMs or an ANZ branch.
If a merchant processes a refund using your card details from the original purchase (without needing you to tap your card or enter your PIN), the refund will still go through successfully.
However, if you try to use your physical card or digital wallet at a terminal, the refund will not be allowed while your card is blocked.
We will continue to charge any monthly or annual fees that might be applicable for your ANZ accounts, including ANZ Rewards program while the Digital Padlock is active.
You will still be able to receive payment notifications such as push notifications, SMS or email if they have been previously set up for your accounts in the ANZ App or Internet Banking.
If you are sharing data with an Accredited Data Recipient through Open Banking, or through ANZ Bank Feeds, this will continue while Digital Padlock is active.
Any requests for balance transfers from a non-ANZ card into an ANZ credit card set up in ANZ Internet Banking before activating the Digital Padlock will not be impacted.
Any cheques including bank cheques that were previously purchased can be cashed by the payee to whom they are issued.
Activating Digital Padlock in ANZ Internet Banking for Business will not block your ANZ credit or debit cards. You will be able to use your physical card, or a digital wallet linked to your account(s) to make payments or purchases (including online purchases).
Any other users who have access to your business accounts via ANZ Internet Banking for Business (e.g. Administrators, Authorisers or Operators) will retain access to those accounts.
If you have more than one Customer Registration Number (CRN) or profile to access your ANZ accounts, only the CRN used to activate the Digital Padlock will be locked.
