ANZ today announced it will contribute $100,000 to support those impacted by the Victorian Bushfires.
A $50,000 donation will be distributed to both the Victorian Government’s 2026 Bushfire Appeal and the Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal (FRRR) to help with the disaster response and recovery efforts.
ANZ Chief Executive Officer, Nuno Matos said: “The Victorian community has shown extraordinary resilience in the face of loss and disruption, while emergency services and volunteers across the state have demonstrated significant commitment to protecting our communities in trying conditions.
“The donations we are making today will go some way to helping communities impacted by fire – including farmers and regional producers – to get back on their feet and ease the burden during this challenging time.
“Along with our customer relief measures, this donation forms part of a broader commitment to supporting affected customers and communities as they rebuild and move forward,” Mr Matos said.
Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal Chief Executive Officer, Natalie Egleton said: “We're grateful to the generosity of ANZ. Their donation to FRRR’s Disaster Recovery Appeal is a significant contribution to helping bushfire-affected communities in Victoria to recover and rebuild.
“The reality is that recovery from the devastation of bushfires can take many months and even years. Support from individuals and businesses like ANZ is essential to ensuring that FRRR can continue to walk alongside these communities and provide help directly to their organisations when they need it most,” Ms Egleton said.
On 9 January 2026 ANZ announced disaster relief support measures for customers impacted by the Victorian bushfires, including short-term payment relief and the waiver of some fees.
Customers affected can contact ANZ’s dedicated financial hardship team on 1800 149 549 or at anz.com.au/support/natural-disaster-support/ to seek support.
