How do I add a gambling block?
You can block gambling transactions on your ANZ Plus Visa Debit card and digital wallet using the card controls in the ANZ Plus app. Simply:
- Go to the Card icon.
- Tap on Controls.
- Tap on Gambling Block and follow the prompts.
This may take up to 15 minutes to take effect and can include online betting, lotto tickets, bookies and casino withdrawals.
Once your gambling block has been applied, you won’t be able to use your card or digital wallet for any transactions that we categorise as relating to gambling.
We rely on information provided by third parties to identify gambling transactions. As a result, it’s possible some gambling transactions may not be blocked and some non-gambling transactions may be blocked.
Your gambling block is protected by a time lock. You can request to remove the block using the in-app card controls, but you’ll need to wait 48 hours before you can confirm and remove the block.
ANZ Plus Coaches will not be able to bypass the 48-hour wait period.
Have more than one ANZ Plus Everyday account?
If you have more than one ANZ Plus Everyday account, including Joint ANZ Plus Everyday accounts, you may need to swipe through your cards to find the card you're looking for.
Managing Joint Accounts
You can also choose to block gambling on your Joint ANZ Plus Visa Debit card and digital wallet.
Since you and your plus one's cards are managed separately, adding or removing a gambling block on your card won’t affect your plus one’s card.
