Your questions answered

Am I eligible to join ANZ Plus?

To start banking with ANZ Plus, you need to be 15 years or older with an Australian residential address and a valid form of ID.

At the moment, these are the ID types we accept:

  • Australian driver's licence
  • Australian passport
  • International passport

Please keep in mind, ANZ Plus is just for personal use.

When you download the ANZ Plus app and join, you'll get an ANZ Plus Everyday account for everyday spending and an ANZ Plus Growth Saver account for your savings and goals. These accounts can be closed, but you'll need to hold at least one of the following: an ANZ Plus Everyday, ANZ Plus Growth Saver or ANZ Plus Flex Saver account, or an ANZ Plus Home Loan to keep using the ANZ Plus app.

To share or accept an invitation to open a joint account, you and your plus one will each need to hold at least one of the following: an ANZ Plus Everyday, ANZ Plus Growth Saver or ANZ Plus Flex Saver account, or an ANZ Plus Home Loan.

Are there fees and charges?

There are no monthly account-keeping or subscription fees for ANZ Plus Everyday, ANZ Plus Growth Saver and ANZ Plus Flex Saver accounts. However, there may be fees on certain transactions, such as using non-ANZ ATMs, international money transfers and overseas transactions (like online shopping or while you travel).

If your ANZ Plus Everyday account is linked as an offset account to an ANZ Plus Home Loan, a monthly offset fee may apply.

Refer to the ANZ Plus Deposit Account T&Cs for more information on fees that may apply.

How do I add money to my accounts?

You can use your account details or PayID (once you've set it up) to receive a payment from another bank, or head to an ANZ Smart ATM to deposit cash or an Australian cheque.

Better yet, give your account details (BSB and account number) to your boss and get paid to your ANZ Plus accounts.

To view your account details:

  1. Go to the Profile icon
  2. Tap on Account Details.

Sending money from other ANZ accounts

You can transfer money from eligible ANZ accounts directly to your ANZ Plus accounts with no daily limits using My Accounts in the ANZ Plus app.

Alternatively, you can use Pay Anyone to make payments of up to a total of $25,000 a day from the ANZ App. You will need to use Voice ID to make payments over $1,000.

You can also use Internet Banking to make additional payments of up to $25,000 a day. You’ll need the ANZ Shield app for payments over $10,000.

Can I open joint accounts with ANZ Plus?

You can invite your plus one to open a Joint ANZ Plus deposit account with you in a few simple steps.

When you’re ready to share an invite:

  1. Go to the Store tab.
  2. Select the ANZ Plus deposit account you'd like to open and tap Continue.
  3. Select Me and someone else.
  4. Follow the prompts to share or accept an invite.

If you’re accepting an invite, you should also be able to find your invitation on the Money tab or in the Store tab of your app.

If you're unable to share or accept an invite in the app, you may need to update your ANZ Plus app to the latest version from the App Store or Google Play Store.

Before you open your accounts

Any money in your joint accounts and any linked activity or features will be accessible by both you and your plus one, so make sure you only open joint accounts with someone you trust.

Each joint account will be shared with just one other person – so choose your plus one wisely. There's also a limit to the number of joint accounts you can open.

Declining an invite

If you don’t recognise an invitation, or think you’ve been invited by mistake, please:

  1. Open the invite and select Review Invite.
  2. Select Decline Invite or Decline & Report Invite.
